 Oral presentation time is restricted to 10 minutes. So please plan your presentation to ensure that it will not exceed 10 minutes. Please deliver your presentation files to the technical stuff to enable your presentation to be loaded and checked before your session starts.

PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION

In order to enable as much participant as possible to give an oral presentation and refrain from restricting the length of the presentations, each participant, with all due respect, will be allowed to present at most one oral presentation. Another submission by the same participant will be evaluated as a poster presentation.   

 

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES         

 

  1. The abstract should be written only in English.
  2. Margins: Top 2 cm, bottom 1.5 cm, right 2 cm, left 2.5 cm
  3. The text should be typed in single space on A4 size (210 x 279 mm) paper using Times New Roman style 11 point font.
  4. The title of the abstract should be in capital, bold letters, centered.
  5. Separate paragraphs without indentation.
  6. Do not include key words, references, tables, figures, graphics or images in the abstract.
  7. Italic letters for latin/taxonomy titles (organs or agents) must be used.
  8. Abstract should not exceed more than one page (max. 400 words).
  9. Names and surnames of the authors should be centered and written as given in the example below:
                                                          KOCH R.H., LOEFFLER F., ATES A., ESEN GURSEL F.
  10. Authors affiliation details (department, institution, city, country) should be written under authors names and must be marked with numbers and the presenting author should be marked with an asterix sign (*) as shown:
                                                          KOCH R.H.1*, LOEFFLER F., ATES A.3, ESEN GURSEL F.3
  11. Leave one blank line spacing below title and then below authors list.

Preparation of the Oral Presentation
Oral presentations must be prepared as MS PowerPoint presentation in *.ppt format

           Preparation of the Poster Presentation
           Poster dimensions must be 60cmx80cm (WxH).
 
VISA INFORMATION

Visa Free Countries For Kazakhstan 2017

The Ministry for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan has shared with Kazinform the full list of countries citizens of which will enjoy visa-free travel with Kazakhstan.

To date, Kazakhstan signed bilateral agreements on visa-free regime with 19 countries, including Azerbaijan (up to 30 days), Armenia (up to 90 days), Belarus (up to 90 days), Georgia (up to 90 days), Kyrgyzstan (up to 90 days),Moldova (up to 90 days), Russia (up to 90 days), Tajikistan (up to 30 days), Uzbekistan (up to 30 days), Ukraine (up to 90 days), Serbia (up to 30 days), Turkey (up to 30 days), Argentine (up to 30 days), Brazil (up to 30 days during a year), Cuba (has not yet become effective), Ecuador (up to 30 days during 180 days), Hong Kong SAR (up to 14 days), Mongolia (up to 90 days) and South Korea (up to 30 days).

Additionally, governments of Indonesia, Macedonia, Malaysia, Namibia, the Republic of Seychelles, Montenegro, Ecuador, the Philippines and Barbados, on a unilateral basis, granted visa-free travel for Kazakhstani citizens.

Nationals of Australia, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Great Britain, the U.S., Germany, Finland, France, Switzerland and Japan can stay in Kazakhstan for up to 15 days without a visa in accordance with the decree of the Government of Kazakhstan as of June 26, 2015.

In order to enhance its investment and tourist attractiveness, Kazakhstan mulls introducing visa free regime for citizens of the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Singapore and Monaco as well as 35 OECD member states (the U.S., Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Denmark, New Zealand, Japan, Israel, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Canada, South Korea, Latvia, Luxembourg, Hungary, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Great Britain, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, Chile, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia) since January 1, 2017.

Bulgaria, Cyprus, Lithuania, Malta and Romania are likely to be included into the list in the nearest future.

The 2017 VETIstanbul Congress Hub will be located in the Holiday Inn – Almaty Hotel and will house the Congress, the Congress Registration Desk and Information Centre

Climate

Kazakhstan’s climate is generally moderate and mild and average spring temperature range from 10 to 24 degrees in May. You can check the weather here. (weather.com)

Currency

The local currency is the Kazakhstani Tenge (KZT); but USD is also valid.

1 TL = 88,2269 KZT

Language

The official language of the congress is English.

The time zone in Kazakhstan / Almaty is (UTC/GMT +6 hours)

Transportation

Transportation from the airport to the congress center, Holiday Inn Hotel (two times a day at 08.00 am. & 11.00 am.) will be provided by the committee.

Public transportation to the city center could be made by:

Bus

Buses to the city center run 24 h a day. Journey time is about 20 min. Bus #79, #86, #92 and #106

Taxi

Taxi stands are located outside the arrival terminal. It takes around 20 min to the city center.

Visa

Participants are advised to make their own arrangements with respect to entering Kazakhstan. Please consult the consulate of Kazakhstan in your country for visa processing
